Schools as Centers of Community: A National Search for Excellence

The KnowledgeWorks Foundation encourages school districts and communities to work together to best serve all students and facilitates partnerships between communities and schools. One of its initiatives, Schools as Centers of Community: A National Search for Excellence, seeks learning facilities that reflect the emerging trend of schools as centers of community. Architects of Achievement was deeply involved in facilities design and planning for two of the schools selected to the Schools as Centers of Community Honors Society: Truman Education Complex in Federal Way and Tacoma School of the Arts.
